PostHeaderIcon Camping Stuff That You Need Not Forget

Camping is one outdoor activity that most people love. You’d definitely enjoy camping especially if you are with your friends or family. It’s such a wonderful feeling staying at a place where you don’t have the luxury of living with a tv, radio, internet and a soft bed – all you have are tress, grass, the sound of birds chirping, a blue sky in the morning and a starry sky in the evening! Wouldn’t that be a wonderful and adventurous experience?!

For newbies, here are some tips:

  • First, never forget that you need to arrive at your destination as early as possible because setting up a tent in the middle of darkness would be very difficult.
  • Bring all camping gear and accessories but be sure to bring only the ones that you need.
  • Also remember to bring a mattress pad unless you want to have a sleepless night in the wilderness.
  • A GPS and compass would be of great help in case you get lost.
  • After eating, always remember to put away all your trash and dispose waste and leftovers properly so as not to ruin the place.
  • Always be with someone familiar with the place and do a little research if the place is good for camping. You wouldn’t want to camp in a place with wild bears and animals.

Speaking of winter sports and games, skiing should be a great thing to do within Vancouver as well, especially right now. There are basically three major places to ski in there, the North Shore Mountains, Coast Mountain Range and Cypress Mountain. All of them are easily located and visited as all of them are only just around 30 minutes away from downtown so you know that you can visit any one of them any time that you want. These ski resorts would always have skis and snowboards to offer for rent, as well as lessons.

There are also some great rental shops for gears in both West Broadway and in North Vancouver, specifically in Marine Drive. These resorts can certainly make your winter vacation to Canada a wonderful experience and of course, Canadians are always known for their niceness so you know that you can never go wrong visiting this wonderful place.
